I Hate Models made his underground debut in one of the world’s most unique natural venues on Friday, March 13, 2026. The French DJ and Producer took over The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee, for a night that felt less like a standard club gig and more like a subterranean ritual. Known for his famously private persona, Guillaume Labadie once again proved why he prefers his music to be the face of the project. Wearing his signature mask to maintain total anonymity, he focused entirely on a dense sonic narrative, refusing to lean into celebrity tropes and instead letting the brutalist environment speak for itself.
The evening began with a support set from Hhunter, who established a dark, atmospheric tone that perfectly complemented the cave’s natural shadows. At 9 PM, I Hate Models took the stage for a three-hour journey through hard techno, industrial, and melancholic trance. From start to finish, the set leaned heavily into his signature style of "melancholic violence," moving seamlessly from pounding industrial kicks that vibrated through the limestone to euphoric, synth-heavy breaks that felt otherworldly in the deep cave.
The setlist featured some of his most powerful tracks, including "Toro" and "Two Steps From Heaven". Fans also witnessed the gritty energy of "Werewolf Disco Club" and the haunting, cinematic tones of "Forever Melancholia.”
The final stretch of the night truly cemented the experience. From beginning to end, I Hate Models kept the crowd in an intense techno trance. The subterranean acoustics of the Caverns intensified every beat, making the violent industrial segments feel physically heavy, while the melodic synth breaks shimmered and echoed beautifully off the limestone ceilings. I can’t wait to see what I Hate Models does next and hope that includes a return to The Caverns.
